Lately, the use of cheating tools have been used consistently around Club Penguin. Thus, penguins are being banned for violating the Club Penguin rules.
There are two main levels of defense when it comes to monitoring Club Penguin. The first is there automatic word filter, which is the cornerstone of there real-time security. Everything that is typed into Club Penguin is automatically passed through a word filter before it is seen by other players. This filter is programmed to block obscenities, and can even identify misspellings and variations of swear words.
Those words which are obviously inappropriate result in a ban of the offending account. The filter is constantly being developed and added to, in order to respond to the ever-changing nature of language and communication observed in children. The word filter has also been setup to block numbers and other keywords to prevent penguins from sharing personally identifiable information.
The second level of defense is there staff of moderators, who are entrusted with the task of assessing what is permitted by the filter. These responsibilities include reviewing all penguin names, monitoring the website, and reviewing reports made by penguins in-game.
Children are encouraged to let Club Penguin know if they see other penguins behaving inappropriately or if their sense of well-being is disrupted. By this they are able to review interactions between players and identify harassment or inferred vulgarity. Even seemingly ‘innocent’ language is reviewed for implied meanings, and those penguins who are behaving inappropriately are dealt with accordingly.
Please take a moment to review the Club Penguin rules once again:
- Respect other penguins – Club Penguin does not tolerate any swearing, cheating, bullying or mean behavior toward other penguins. Disciplinary action will be taken should any one of these occur while playing.
- Never reveal your personal information – The best way to stay safe online is to never share your real name, phone number, address, email or passwords.
- No inappropriate talk – References to drugs and alcohol related activities, and sexual, racial or otherwise inappropriate talk are not permitted.
- No Cheating – Any use of third party programs to cheat is not allowed. Players who use any third party programs while playing risk being permanently banned.
Club Penguin has only four simple rules, and you are bound by there rules. Penguins caught breaking rules will be banned in a timely manner. Bans can be up to 24 hours, 72, hours, and you may even be banned forever in certain cases.
I want to go back to the beginning where I mentioned the use of Club Penguin cheating tools. Cheating is the number one reason why penguins are being banned. Tools such as money makers, penguin storm, and other cheating devices are against the Club Penguin rules. If you are caught using such tools, your penguin may be banned forever.
For your own safety and for your account safety, I advise you to only trust information from PenguinCheatsCP.com and ClubPenguin.com. Never share your passwords, and keep your information secret. Only enter your Club Penguin username and password at ClubPenguin.com. Money makers, cheating software, penguin storm, and other materials store your passwords when entered and you could easily be banned.
I have noticed that a large amount of penguins are receiving bans daily for cheating software. I must admit that my old penguin was banned for such use and it was a bad mistake on my hand. I guess we just get caught up on wanting new stuff, more coins, secret items, and more! Don’t cheat for it. Earn it.
